About the scheme
Want a career developing new Nestlé products that the world will love and earn a degree without accruing a penny in student debt? Because if you’ve finished school, or even if you want to change career, our Confectionery Product Apprenticeship is designed to give you the skills you need to do exactly that. On a four-year programme, you’ll earn as you learn and work with some of the world’s most well-known confectionery brands. It’s, in every sense, a pretty sweet deal.
What can I expect?
Supported by our confectionery specialists, you’ll gain a deep understanding of confectionery production at Nestlé by helping to develop new products, recipes and supporting factory trials. The four years you spend with us could be at our York Factory—home of KitKat, Aero, Yorkie and Polo—or our Halifax Factory where we make Quality Street and After Eights.
There’s also a taste of student life at Nottingham Trent University, where you’ll attend week-long learning blocks. Right the way through, your mentors will help you make the most of your time with us and prepare you for your future here.
Entry Requirements
We’re looking for people who want a rewarding career with a global business. You’ll need at least 104 UCAS points (or 260 points from 2017 or previous) and Maths and English Language GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 9-4 (A*-C if taken before 2017). Just as important is to be full of energy and enthusiasm for learning. We want to meet people who will see this opportunity for what it is—a chance to build a career with a company where there’s no limit to what you can achieve.
Applicants must be 18 by the 1st of September 2024 and have the right to work in the UK that is not time limited and does not require sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route either at the start of the scheme or on completion.
What will you get out of it?
By the end of the programme, you’ll be a confectionery professional capable of thriving at the world’s biggest food and drink manufacturer. You’ll be brimming with expertise and have a degree to show for it.
